Care Team

Everyone experiences a trying situation or is given a difficult journey at some point in life. Whether it's grief, depression, loss, sickness, loneliness, or a major life transition, everyone knows a season of challenge. People sometimes travel this path alone, without help. Pastoral care is the church’s response to the suffering people experience. This can take many different forms, but it always seeks to meet people at their lowest points and draw them to the mercy and loving care of God.

The Christchurch City Mission | We were born to help

The Mission helps anyone who needs it regardless of their circumstances. We take on the hardest cases with love and optimism. While our emergency care is vital we also provide much more than that. Through education and training we help struggling people re-join society and gain the self-esteem and happiness that comes from work, independence and permanent housing.
