In a city where it’s easy to feel isolated, we want St MJs to be a place where people find home. Our smaller mid-week communities, enable people to get to know one another and explore practising the way of Jesus together.
What is GDMC?
Is a group of young adults learning to do life together, committing a year at a time to follow Jesus and to serve others. The missional community is a space where they can learn and develop as people, engage deeply with scripture, adopt prayer rhythms and develop as Christian leaders.
There are multiple ways of learning; relational, formational activities, camps, retreats, and community work and more. Following the yearly rhythm allows time for practice and reflection. Further opportunities are available through Theology House and Laidlaw College. Some part scholarships may be available. Are you a young adult that wants to grow closer to Jesus and learn to further develop your leadership skills? If so, come and join us for a coffee at 200 Riccarton Road.
We have young adults across the city who belong to other churches or missional communities, are flatting or in halls of residents, or have young families. We want to train and equip you to be the light wherever you call home. We are here to help support and equip those feeling a call to following Jesus.
Every month you will hear from some great teachers and leaders from around our city and beyond. You will have fun and a strong sense of belonging along the way! Drop us a line as we would love to have a chat.
