Good Dirt Discipleship

GOOD DIRT
How can we be 'Good Dirt' for every new thing that God wants to grow in our lives? Traditionally, the process of following Jesus is known as discipleship. Here at ‘Good Dirt’ we believe that discipleship in community is a core aspect of following Jesus. Our life together is a journey to grow in faith. Whether you've just started following Jesus or are still seeking and asking questions...Or you've been a Christian for a few years and wanting to grow more in faith... We'd love to link you up to Good a Dirt disciple -making mentor this term.‘Good Dirt’ trains and supports Young Adults and students, journeying together, eating together, praying together and serving our local community together.

We are here to help support and equip those feeling a call to following Jesus. Every month you will hear from some great teachers and Christian leaders from around our city and beyond. You will have fun and a strong sense of belonging along the way! We meet at our Missional Community in Riccarton Rd close to UC.

Drop us a line as we would love to have a chat on hello@stmjs.nz

YOUNG ADULT MISSIONAL COMMUNITY
Is a group of young adults learning to do life together, committing a year at a time to follow Jesus and to serve others. The missional community is a space where they can learn and develop as people, engage deeply with scripture, adopt prayer rhythms and develop as Christian leaders.

There are multiple ways of learning; relational, formational activities, camps, retreats, and community work and more. Following the yearly rhythm allows time for practice and reflection. Further opportunities are available through Theology House and Laidlaw College. Some part scholarships may be available. Are you a young adult that wants to grow closer to Jesus and learn to further develop your leadership skills?  If so, come and join us for a coffee at 200 Riccarton Road or email us at hello@stmjs.nz

ST MJ's is an ECO Church

We are on a journey of hope, actively caring for God’s earth. We partner with church communities across Aotearoa who are actively caring for the environment as an integral part of their mission.

Creation care is integral to the good news of Christ, this is our Kaitiakitanga, our hope. As followers of Jesus we are all called to participate in Jesus’s healing and reconciliation of relationships with God, one another and with all creation. All of us are made in the image of God and given responsibility to reflect God’s character in knowing, delighting in and caring for the God’s creation, the Earth. This is our future hope.
